Security & Safety Committee

With the BeltLine interim trail about to go public, the HOA Board of Directors  is creating a Security and Safety committee. The first of many expected meetings will be on Tuesday, July 30, in the clubhouse. Board member, Keith Covert, will be the Board Liaison to the Committee.  If you would like to join the committee, please email Keith through the Board email:  HOA Board@GlenwoodGreen.com.  Even better, please come to the meeting so we can all work together. There is a lot that needs to get done.

Note:  As outlined in our governing documents the board does not guarantee the safety of residents.   However, that does not mean that we can not make enhancements to our community to make it feel safer to live in. Some items under consideration will be road safety, gate access, cameras, lighting, and  more. We are open to any suggestions but it will take some time to do the research of various proposals and get any improvements done. We’re working to make  Glenwood Green one of the best places around and this is a key part of it.

We put lots of weird, non-recyclable stuff in the recycling bins. Don’t do that.

You may have noticed the new sign above the recycle bins – a clear graphic on what you can and can’t recycle here.  Okay, I read some of the NO’S to you here, because we suspect that these are things you just didn’t know about – put them in the dumpster from now on please!

NO to:  Plastic Grocery Bags, Glass, Polystyrene or Styrofoam, (i.e. Packing Material, Egg Cartons, Styrofoam Food Trays), Food containers that contain food residue like Pizza Boxes, Waxed Milk Cartons, Molded Plastics (like toys, buckets, bins), Aerosol Cans, Rubber Gloves, Light Bulbs, Electronic Devices, Clothing, Mirrors, Household Garbage, any items having contained Chlorine, Paint, Pesticides, Acid, Motor Oil or any Hazardous Materials, Waxed Paper Products, Photos, Film Carbon Paper, Baby Diapers, Pillows, Small Appliances, Furniture, or Wood.

If you have items that are not accepted here and/or too large or prohibited items for our dumpster, see our March Newsletter for two places in our area that will accept many of them:  March Newsletter – Recycle Sites
