Looking Ahead!
Social Committee:
Our Pool Party this Summer seems like a distant memory, doesn’t it.
Well, out Social Committee isn’t resting on their laurels. They’re moving ahead planning our next fun events. And you can be a part of the planning too. Join them Monday night, October 8, at 7 pm in the Clubhouse.
Chairperson Laura Hedelson notes that, based on feedback from the survey recently put out, the committee is looking at possibly forming a book club, having a movie night, and creating a dinner club. And that’s just a start. If you’re interested in helping out with any of these ideas or any other activities, please join them in the Clubhouse.
SAND: South Atlantans for Neighborhood Development:
This from our former resident and current President of SAND, Nathan Clubb:
SAND is an umbrella community association formed in 1979 to serve the residents and businesses of the Southeast Atlanta neighborhoods between Grant Park and East Atlanta. These neighborhoods include:
- Benteen Park
- Boulevard Heights
- Custer-McDonough-Guice
- Glenwood Park
- North Ormewood Park
- Ormewood Park
- Woodland Hills
Editor’s Note: This is the best way to find out what’s happening at Madison Yards (the development on Bill Kennedy Way), the status of our portion of the Beltline, and the change in the name of Confederate Avenue, for example!
