May Newsletter

 In Mail, Newsletter

The Beautiful Month of May is in full swing.  Isn’t it great to experience the vibrant blooms, fine weather, lots of sun during our quarantine!  Much to smile about and to pick up our spirits a bit!

This week at Glenwood Green – More Social & Distancing!

We are getting two food trucks this week – Happy Times!

First up is Westside Creamery, Friday, May 15 from 1 to 4 pm

Why not dessert before dinner?

Billed as “Atlanta’s Premier Dessert Food Truck, you’ll get to experience handmade ice creams and vegan sorbets, ice cream floats, and a freshly-baked pound cake a la mode.

Treat yourself to a nice break from the confines of home on what promises to be a warm afternoon.  I’m going for the Chocolate Fetish myself!

Other News:  GG Buildings Painting and Restoration Project

Update from Michelle Dixon, heading up the Architectural Controls Committee:

Hopefully, you have had an opportunity to see the approved exterior paint colors, which have been placed in the window at the Clubhouse. We want to begin by thanking the Architectural Committee who volunteered their time over the past several months to move this project forward. The Architectural Committee made their recommendations to the Board based on the plan that was presented during the Year-end HOA Meeting; the plan developed by our design professional. As dictated by Glenwood Green’s original design, each building is being considered a single structure. The overall property plan that will determine the color pallet assignment for each building is near completion. Once complete and approved, this will be shared with the entire community.

The Board is currently reviewing the bid package and anticipate it being released for competitive bids shortly.  We will continue to provide updates as this project progresses.

COVID-19 Update

We get regular questions about when the pool will open, the gym re-open, the clubroom too.  Please know that we continue to carefully monitor all guidelines from the State, the City of Atlanta, the CDC, and upon the advice of counsel.  As of now, there has been no change in the original guidelines regarding these facilities and they will remain closed for the foreseeable future.  When changes and updates occur, we will notify you promptly.

Thanks for your understanding and patience. As far as we know, we are still COVID-19 free here at GG and we know you all appreciate that!

Stay Safe and Help Each Other!
