Two Important Dates!

 In Newsletter

Another important election coming up in one week.

Our Annual Meeting, Tuesday, November 13 at 6:30 pm in the Clubhouse.  As a homeowner you should have already received notification in the mail.  And along with this,  included was an Agenda, the Budget for the next year, and a Proxy form .

Part of the agenda includes election of Board Members.  There are two open seats this year.  We understand that incumbent Marc Bearden will be running again.  And the other Board Member, Allison Ham, is not.  Both seats are for a two-year term.  You may place your name in nomination by contacting the property manager, Will Stanley.  Nominations will also be taken from the floor at the meeting.

Very important:  A quorum is needed at the meeting to hold the election.  That means 1/3 of eligible votes (each unit constitutes a vote) will either need to be present at the meeting or have sent a proxy by way of the form.  IF A QUORUM IS NOT MET, THEN NO ELECTION IS HELD.  THE CURRENT BOARD WILL THEN VOTE FOR THE TWO OPEN SEATS AT THE NEXT MEETING.

Glenwood Green News and your HOA Board hopes you’ll be able to make the scene. We hope you’ll exercise your right to vote. Remember, this meeting is for homeowners only.

SAVE THE DATE!!

Join the GG Social Committee for a Winter Celebration on Saturday, December 1 in the Glenwood Green Clubhouse. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

I have it on good authority that not only will there be heavy appetizers but beer and wine as well!  Whether you are new to the community or have been here for years, we are excited to make this an annual event that everyone will look forward to attending!

Hi, Lin–it will be nice if those events are created in Facebook as it helps remind people of the events.

Jocelyn, Agreed! Anyone on FB can post there. I am taking on the website which is a big task on it’s own as a volunteer. Feel free to post on FB!

Important note: board elections are separate from officer elections. Officers are selected by, and serve at the pleasure of the board. The board is a decision-making body. Officer selection is done at the next board meeting after the annual meeting/elections. Voting for the board is not the same as voting for officers, but the board does the selection of offices. For more details please see the bylaws document.
